RT@OptaJoe: 8:08 - There were eight minutes and eight seconds between QPR’s first goal and Liverpool’s winner earlier today. Heartbreak.

As a Liverpool fab, I will take the luck being on our side for a result

It’s only a matter of time until Mario Balotelli lives up to being the defender’s nightmare that he is. He has had more shots per game than Diego Costa in the Barclays Premier League and scored nothing in that space. What surprised me was sewing that his shots have not been in the box.

The good news for me is he is coming out to get the ball, and his work rate is high relatively to his traditional self. I also saw the way he celebrated when he scored in the Champions League for Liverpool. Mario does not celebrate scoring because in his mind it is job to deliver goals!

It is only a matter of time. He is getting in the position to line up a decent shot, he is working the field…

I have never seen him as a replacement for Suarez. He, to me was always a talented player, just an attitude I didn’t like.

I like the man in him, looking to reinvent himself. When he finds himself, we will all know about it! Watch this space…

“Goals are a problem for sure… We need midfield players to start scoring some goals.” ~ Harry Redknapp. I think the problem at QPR is not only limited to scoring goals, they need to also stop conceding so many!

QPR had 10 shots to West Ham’s 11 shots and both teams got 3 on target. So clearly conceding goals was the differentiator if I look at it that way. Harry is in trouble and I am definitely selling Caulker from my Fantasy Premier League team.

Well done Jordan Henderson, man of the match in the Liverpool vs West Brom match.

A lack of meaningful movement seems to be Liverpool’s problem at present. I can’t say I see people moving off the ball as we did last season resulting in the defense comfortably keeping their shape.

I will take the 2-1 win and hope that means October brings with it, a series of 3 point plays. 19 shots, with 7 on target and 2 goals, I am happy. Jordan Henderson had a great game and I am glad Adam Lallana has scored his first goal for Liverpool since moving from Southampton.

Diego Costa has scored one goal in his last 167 minutes of Premier League appearances. Nursing a hamstring injury and with international duty coming up, it is risky business buying him for your Fantasy Premier League team, but I spent the £11.1mil anyway.

Chelsea will have it tough against Arsenal on Sunday, with both teams unbeaten in the Premier League this season, and Wenger yet to beat Mourinho in 11 games. Costa’s stats are what I couldn’t ignore, even though he is an injury risk, who will start this Sunday, having played 181 minutes already in 3 days (he is expected to start his third game in 8 days).

At 4.5 shots per game, having scored 8 of Chelsea’s 19 goals, I don’t like his yellow card rate, but 65.4% of those playing Fantasy Premier League can’t be wrong. I am just crazy enough not to make him captain for the weekend, while I know most people will, but you can’t win if you follow the herd mentality.

Now there is a stat I didn’t need to know. RT@OptaJoe: 3 - West Brom have won three and lost just one of their last five Premier League games against Liverpool. Boing.

RT@SkySportsNewsHQ: Real Madrid stats: Ronaldo scored his 25th Real Madrid hat-trick in the thrashing of Elche last night

To think I used to think he could do was a multiple series of stopovers when he got to Man Utd. He sure proved me wrong. Phenomenal player

Frank Lampard has now scored against 39 Premier League sides. No player has scored more. So is Mourinho a hero or a villain for letting him go?

Jami Carragher tweeted: ‘After losing Suarez Lfc were never going to score 100 goals + this season so had to be better defensively, they actually look worse now.’

I am worried. I really was hoping that more shutouts this season would make the scoring less goals not be at risk of not making top four.

I haven’t decided yet of we are looking worse defensively, but conceding 8 goals in 5 games is not good, at any stage of the season.
