“Goals are a problem for sure… We need midfield players to start scoring some goals.” ~ Harry Redknapp. I think the problem at QPR is not only limited to scoring goals, they need to also stop conceding so many!
QPR had 10 shots to West Ham’s 11 shots and both teams got 3 on target. So clearly conceding goals was the differentiator if I look at it that way. Harry is in trouble and I am definitely selling Caulker from my Fantasy Premier League team.
Diego Costa has scored one goal in his last 167 minutes of Premier League appearances. Nursing a hamstring injury and with international duty coming up, it is risky business buying him for your Fantasy Premier League team, but I spent the £11.1mil anyway.
Chelsea will have it tough against Arsenal on Sunday, with both teams unbeaten in the Premier League this season, and Wenger yet to beat Mourinho in 11 games. Costa’s stats are what I couldn’t ignore, even though he is an injury risk, who will start this Sunday, having played 181 minutes already in 3 days (he is expected to start his third game in 8 days).
At 4.5 shots per game, having scored 8 of Chelsea’s 19 goals, I don’t like his yellow card rate, but 65.4% of those playing Fantasy Premier League can’t be wrong. I am just crazy enough not to make him captain for the weekend, while I know most people will, but you can’t win if you follow the herd mentality.
Jami Carragher tweeted: ‘After losing Suarez Lfc were never going to score 100 goals + this season so had to be better defensively, they actually look worse now.’
I am worried. I really was hoping that more shutouts this season would make the scoring less goals not be at risk of not making top four.
I haven’t decided yet of we are looking worse defensively, but conceding 8 goals in 5 games is not good, at any stage of the season.
